A little handmade whiteboard for your notes

by Becky Jensen on January 1, 2010

The other night, as I was rattling off the list of things of things I wanted my husband to remind me to do, my husband said we need a whiteboard to write little messages on.  He was just joking but . . . I jumped on a project I’ve been planning to take on and I made a white board!

I liked the design I used on one of the jars yesterday so much I carried it over to this whiteboard (and the new banner at the top of the blog!), I just couldn’t help myself!  The white board is a glossy tile you can find at your local hardware store.  The images that are stamped on the tile are stamped with Stazon ink.  The ribbons are Bravo Burgundy wide & narrow grosgrain ribbon, Chocolate Chip Taffeta, Very Vanilla Taffeta and Kraft Taffeta.

The flowers stamped here are from the new Vintage Vogue stamp set that is coming out in the new Occasions Mini Catalog.  I used the Build-A-Brad with the butterfly in Of the Earth again and then the other large flower has a small Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button.  The leaves you see were cut out on the Big Shot with the Stampin’ Up! exclusive Little Leaves die.

I realize not everyone has my taste and style so . . . I made another . . .

This white board was made using the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt, Old Olive grosgrain ribbon and the Whimsical Words Sale-A-Bration stamp set (which you can get for free beginning January 5!!!)

Here are some close up pictures of the Sweet Pea Stitched Felt Flowers.  These will be available in the Occasions Mini Catalog.  There are 52 pieces in the set and it only costs $7.95.  They’re a great deal!  I can see a class with these coming in the next couple months!

I hope you’ve enjoyed these projects.  I always have so much fun getting ready for blog tours!  Thank you for all the comments left yesterday.  It’s so much fun to hear from you!

Please continue on the tour to visit Jannette Shaw!

Wow I just love your projects. I am so glad I found your blog. Your new banner is awesome. I ordered this stamp set in the clear mount but I do not like the idea of taking them on and off too much trouble for me so I returned it for the wood mount and cannot wait until they arrive so I can case your projects….!

I’m not sure which of those white boards I like more. They are both gorgeous. I love the look of all those ribbons on one project!
