A Project for the Guys to Make

Two Tags Big Shot Die

We had so much fun at the Date Night last night!  I wish more of you could have made it, it was just so much fun!

We started with a lovely meal to which everyone contributed!  The men chipped in incredibly with their homemade chili and cornbread and we had a wonderful salad and cookies and . . . yummy!

Once our tummies were full we settled in to let the guys do a little creating!  They made the tag you see above.  They were encouraged to put this tag on their wives’ Christmas gift and then save it to hang on the tree next year.  What fun!  I was very impressed with how well they created and their great spirit of fun!

To make their special tag the guys started with flashing from the home improvement store.  The Stampin’ Up! supplies used included the Big Shot, Stampin’ Up! exclusive Two Tags die, Petals-A-Plenty embossing folder, silver embossing powder, Heat Tool, Four the Holidays stamp set, Silver Glass Glitter, silver brads, Cherry Cobbler cardstock, and tinsel.  Oh, I forgot, they go to use the Crop-A-Dile too!  What a great combination of tools!

While the guys ordered Christmas presents for their wives the ladies had the chance to make their very own DSP Christmas bow like I showed a couple weeks ago.

The Date Night was definitely a success!  I’m thinking we’ll be scheduling another sometime later in the year . . . keep your eyes and ears open for more information!

  1. Great idea! Glad it was a success…you never know about men, ha!

  2. Becky, you did a great job making a project for the guys to create! And I love the fact that the gift tag can be reused as an ornament next season. It will be a great momento of the date night that the couples did together. 🙂

  3. Sounds like everyone had a wonderful time – proving again the success of your great ideas! 🙂

  4. What a fun idea and it sounds like a good time was had by all!

  5. What a wonderful project for the guys! I’m going to have to get some of that flashing. Next time David goes to Lowe’s I’ll have my shopping list. These are gorgeous. I get all warm and fuzzy thinking about how wonderful it was for the couples that spent time together in your home. You are a blessing! 🙂

  6. Great Fun!
