A variety of framed artwork

handstamped welcome signI enjoy making a variety of framed artwork.  I have given some away in the past as Christmas presents and I also sell it.  Sometimes I cover frames another other times I decorate what goes inside the frame.  Here are some I’ve done in the last couple days.

I got the idea for this frame from the Fifth Avenue Floral handstamped card I posted a while back.  I think this frame will work nicely in a contemporary style home.  I used the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set, a retired alphabet set, Basic Black narrow grosgrain ribbon, black embossing powder, and some Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware.

Framed BabyThe BABY frame would make a cute addition to any new baby girl’s room!    It is hard to capture it in the picture, but the letters are covered in Dazzling Diamonds and the butterflies (cut from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Butterflies exclusive die) were embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder so they sparkle as well.  The Pale Plum background is stamped with the images from the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.

powder room signOne last picture for today.  I was actually asked to make this particular sign for someone.  She saw the Powder Room sign I have at the Markets at Shrewsbury done in Ballet Blue and she asked if I could do a similar sign in Red.  So, here it is using Riding Hood Red and Very Vanilla with Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon and a bit of Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware.

I hope these have inspired you to think outside the box with your stamping.  So many people think rubber stamping is simply for paper or cards.  Yes, you can stamp on those but you can also stamp on scrapbook pages, walls, glass, plastic and so much more!  The ideas are endless, you just have to be willing to give it a try!

Hi there I love this powder room sign, the black frame totally works for my powder room!! The only thing is I’d want it in a dark pink like fushia or a bright purple….if you could do it in a zebra pattern that would be even better please let me know and a price too

Thanks Ann :)
