Apple Picking Scrapbook Pages

Apple Picking Scrapbook Pages

Our boys completed the summer reading program for the York County Library System this summer – that means they read (or had read to them) 800 minutes each!  One of the prizes as the end of the program was a coupon for pick your own apples at Brown’s Orchard.  We thought it would be fun to go today, the last Saturday before school starts.

Yes, you read that right, we picked the apples, took the pictures, had them developed and made the scrapbook pages all today!  There’s just something about doing the pages right away when you’re still in the mood!

I used the new Perfectly Preserved stamp set to stamp apples on the pages.  If you look closely, perhaps you can tell that I used the Stripes embossing folder on the white cardstock at the bottom?  I wanted to get the look of a white picket fence.  (I think if I ever owned my dream house it would probably include a white picket fence!)

I kept this layout pretty simple as we have some pretty busy pages to make at Scrap Club on Monday!  I thought I’d better not make this one too full with the other pages as busy as they are.  After all, we make three 2-page layouts, with pictures, in just under 2 hours. Scrap Club is such a wonderful way to get those pages done – for all of us!

Don’t forget there are just two more days to RSVP for the 2012 Holiday Catalog Accessories Shares!  Also, our first Christmas Card Class is this week, on Thursday, August 23.    The Christmas Card Classes do tend to fill rather quickly and although I try to accommodate as many as I can, space is limited.  It’s not too early to RSVP for any of the dates listed below.  This Thursday’s class has a couple spaces left.
