Back to School Banner

Back to School Banner

The boys have been home from school for a little over 2 weeks now, but today they’re headed back!  (Well, hopefully!  They have a 2 hour delay . . . hopefully it won’t be more than that!)

The Chairman of the Board asked me to make a “Welcome Back” banner to greet the children in the lobby of the school.  Sure thing, I can do that!  Right away the Sale-a-Bration Heartfelt Banner Kit came to mind.  The items in the kit are a bit small on their own for what I needed, but they a make great accent items when adding some card stock banners!

Handmade BannerI made this in a bit of a hurry but I’m pleased with how it turned out!    I used various colors of blue card stock to make some banners (1/2 sheet of cardstock each).  The little canvas and designed banners along with the linen thread the banners are hung on, and the pompoms are all part of the Heartfelt Banner Kit.  I added a few pictures I had to make it a little more personalized, they are clipped on with some mini clothespins which also come in the banner kit.

Here it is, all ready to greet the children as they enter school!  It’s going to be a great day!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I look forward to the All Occasion Card Make-up Class tonight at 6:30 here in the Studio!

  1. You did a great job on the “Back to School Banner” Becky. The colors are just perfect and the Balloons add the finishing touch. I know all the Children are going to be surprised when they arrive back to school. The Chairman of the Board chose the right person for this creation. Thanks for sharing Becky and have a great day.

  2. Exciting day for SCA! The banner is perfect – it has an exciting look to it, too! Beautiful job. 🙂
