Baking Spirits Bright

My friend Jess and I got together to bake Christmas cookies again this year.  What a full day of cookies we had with over 600 cookies baked between putting the kids sending the kids off to school and the time they got home!  Double batches of seven different kinds of cookies!

Jolly Bing Bits stamp set

Such a yummy undertaking just begs for a scrapbook page!  I was excited to pull out the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set for this page, it gives a festive touch to the page!

Fancy Flower Punch

The little Gingerbread man made from the Fancy Flower Punch is fun too!

The Scrap Club will be making a layout like this one of these days.  I was planning for this month, however, my supplies are coming a day later than I had hoped (my fault really) so I need to decide if I want to change the design slightly or wait a month . . . I’ll let you know about that one!

Thank you to those of you who placed online orders from the Stampin’ Up! Clearance Rack yesterday.  At up to 80% discount, there are some superbly wonderful deals on there!  If you haven’t checked them out yet, be sure to!  There were scrapbooks, lots of punches, ribbon, Big Shot dies and so much more on there when they first added the items.  Of course they are only available while supplies last so you won’t want to wait too long!

Toasted Almond Truffles

Since we started out on the subject of yummy treats, I thought I’d show you a quick picture of some Toasted Almond Truffles I made yesterday.  I found the recipe on a tear-off pad at the store and ended up making 3 batches.  Yummy!  I just might have to come up with some cute handstamped package for giving away a couple of these (See how stingy I am?  I said a “couple!”)  These just might be worth their own scrapbook page!

Today is the Christmas Breakfast Brunch for all the staff at my husband’s company, Sozo Firm.  I look forward to a fun morning at Cracker Barrel!  Have a wonderful day!

  1. Oh my, there is nothing better than the smell of fresh baked cookies lingering in your home. If i had been there, as a taste tester, I would have eaten just one more until i was stuffed. The scrap book pages are beautiful, they look good enough to eat. As usual this one “takes the cookie”, in this one. mmmm! They smell so good!! LOL

  2. I sooo love that title! I’ll be using that one!

  3. Looks like a really fun – and tiring! day! Tantalizing pictures of the cookies 🙂
