Because I Care Handmade Gift Box

Handmade Hydrangea Box

I had fun making this little box!  Of course the fact that I was using the lovely Because I Care stamp set probably helped!  It’s always fun to work with this level 1 hostess stamp set

Stampin' Up! Because I Care

As in my one handmade Because I Care card, I used Concord Crush, Bashful Blue and Whisper White.  If I was going to make another of these boxes, I would stamp and color the Whisper White cardstock as I did here, however, I would then run it through the Big Shot with the Finial Press embossing folder to give some nice texture.  I might even try to add multiple layers to the hydrangea but I’m not quite sure how that would work out for some of the flowers.  As you can see, some of the flowers are cut in half. . . .

Inside the box

This is why!  The inside of the box is just right for holding a votive candle, some candy, or some other small gift.  Isn’t it so neat?  It would be fun to write a personal message to the gift recipient in the left and/or right panels.  It would be like giving a gift and card all in one!

As with the project I shared yesterday, this box is one of the boxes being offered in the Boxes & Bags class right now.  If you are interested in making the box I hope you will sign up for the August 5th class date!  Remember, of the Boxes & Bags class as well as the Special Stationary Storage class, you want to be sure to bring Sticky Strip with you.  Sticky Strip is a key ingredient when making any 3D project like this.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and visit today!  I love when you come by and I love it even more when you leave comments!  You’re always very encouraging!  Thank you!

I was wondering if you have the instructions to make the handmade gift box that would fit a cupcake vs. votive candle.
