Here are the super easy favors we made for the bridal shower this week. You’re not going to believe how easy they are! All it takes is a square of cardstock (4″ square of Lovely Lilac embossed with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder here), Sticky Strip and some kind of candy for inside.
Once you have your cardstock prepared the way you want (stamped, embossed . . . ) just roll it to look like a toilet paper tube overlapping the edges enough to adhere with sticky strip. Pinch one end together and hold it closed with sticky strip. Fill the favor with candy and then pinch and adhere the other end together in the opposite direction. I have heard of people using a crimper on the pinched ends (still need to adhere it closed though) to give a little extra character. I don’t have a crimper so it wasn’t a possibility in this case.
I was very pleased with how little time it took to make 25 of these for the shower! We didn’t start these (or even decide to make them) until the day before the shower and it took maybe an hour (2 of us were working on them but not as fast as we could have). These are definitely something to keep in mind for those last minute occasions and busy times. They could be used for any kind of party.
I know I’ve shown these to you before but I thought I’d go ahead and show them to you again. This cute wedding gown is made from a napkin, a little bit of cardstock and some ribbon. The dresses don’t even require any adhesive to keep them together! They can very easily be taken apart to be used (of course most people don’t want to use them because they’re so pretty). They’re always a hit and once again, very easy and quick to make.
I spent time this afternoon working on our fall schedule of stamping events here in southern York County PA! My hubby will be posting the events on my events page very soon and I will be giving you more information on each event once it’s posted. I hope to work out all the details of starting our Technique Club in October and get that to you this coming week as well.
Hope you find some time to stamp this weekend!
