Bridal Shower Invitation Card

Wedding Shower Invitation CardI sat down yesterday to come up with a Bridal Shower Invitation.  Here’s what I came up with.  I like it!  In fact, I couldn’t make my little mind come up with another one after making this, that’s usually a good sign that this is the one to be used.

This card has several layers which make it look elegant but at the same time keeps it fairly simple to put together.  The bride is from the To Have and to Hold stamp set.  The stamp actually has the groom standing beside the bride, however, since it’s a shower invite I didn’t want him on there so I just used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to ink only the bride.  Its hard to tell in the picture but I did use a Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the flowers.

The scroll frame is also from the To Have and To Hold stamp set and then “You’re invited” is from the Hugs and Wishes stamp set.

The ribbon is our Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Organza Ribbon.  I often receive questions about how to tie bows (although I’ll admit that I rarely put a full bow on a card.)  This one was very easy to make.  I used the ribbon on the spool to tie a bow (ie. make a loop, wrap ribbon around the loop and pull it through – no knot).  Once I had the bow the way I wanted it I simply cut it off the spool and used a little snail adhesive to adhere it to the cardstock.

Well, now I have the idea, I’m just going to have to get on the ball to make them!

I like it! Did you ever try glue dots to fasten the bow? I find that they stay on better than SNAIL.

Thanks Beth! Yes, i just couldn’t find my glue dots at the moment and was pleasantly surprised by how well the snail held the bow in place.

It is beautiful…..did you use a grey or silver for the insert, it looks like a different color from the black?

Hi Carol,

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! For the Bridal Shower Invitation I used the following colors: Whisper White, Basic Gray and Basic Black. I hope you will stop back again!

This is awesome! Is this a folded or panel card? It would be awesome if you can share the finished product, you are very talented!!
