I had some friends over to stamp today and we had a great time! While we stamped I worked on some framed artwork that I hope to sell.
This is one of my first projects with the Stampin’ Up! Build-A-Bear die and the Big Shot. (You can see the Build-A-Brear dies and stamp sets on pages 38-40 of the Occasions Mini Catalog.) Isn’t he cute? The background behind him is stamped with the Wedding Sweet stamp set in Whisper White Craft Ink on Bashful Blue Cardstock.
Here are some little chipboard pieces I colored with Bashful Blue Craft ink and then I stamped words from the Warm Words stamp set in Night of Navy ink.
Here’s my girl version. I made it pretty much thee same way with just a little extra bling.
Here the girl bear up close. She is wearing a necklace and bracelet made from Dazzling Diamonds and then her shirt and skirt have dots of Dazzling Diamonds too.
The letters were cut using the Serif Essentials Big Shot Dies. You can’t tell in the picture but for both frames I covered the letters with Versamark and then embossed them with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder so they have a little sparkle to them.
While I was finishing up the girl frame my oldest son, Micah, made this little sign for me. In case you’re out of practice at reading Kindergarten spelling . . . it’s interpreted to say “I like that picture.”
This is his picture of the baby girl frame. Not too bad! I just had to share with you because I thought it was so cute!
Thank you to all who left a comment about the Fleece Big Shot Flower I made. You had some really great ideas for using the fleece flowers! There were 5 comments left. I asked my husband to pick a number and it turns out that Laura Howell is the winner! Laura, please contact me with your address so I can send you some fleece flowers!
