Funky Folds Card Class Tonight

by Becky Jensen on August 31, 2010

Stampin' Up! Elegant Soiree

I am so excited about the Funky Folds card class tonight!  I can’t wait to share the fun cards I have prepared!  You can see one of them here.  This card was made using the Elegant Soiree DSP found on page 175 of the Idea Book & Catalog.  I got to use my new Elegant Lines embossing folder too – it’s great!

Stampin' Up! Scallop Circle Dies

This card provides a great way to use the Scallop Circle dies along with the Two Tags die.  Oh how I love how the new sticky Basic Rhinestones and Basic Pearls.

That’s all I’m going to share with you for now.  The ladies who come to class tonight will get all the details as they make this fun card for themselves!

I have been asked to offer one more date for this class.  If you would like to take the Funky Folds class, I am opening this Friday, September 3 at 6:30 P.M.  If you are interested in attending please contact me no later than Thursday evening so I can prepare your class supplies.

Playing Around with Stamps & Embossing Powder

by Becky Jensen on June 28, 2010

Playing with embossing

I tried something new yesterday afternoon in preparation for Vacation Bible School this week.  I was trying to use paper to create an arm bracelet using paper and embossing powder to go with my Egyptian costume (shhhh, don’t tell anyone!)

What you see here is not my creation to wear but something similar.  I thought I would share this fun, shiny paper with you that I created.  I hope to get some time this afternoon (after leading crafts at VBS for 3 hours. . . zzzzzzzzzzz) to create with these papers I’ve made.

Baroque Motifs stamp set

Here’s a close up of this sheet using the Baroque Motifs stamp set.  I’m afraid the picture just doesn’t have the same appearance as the paper does in person.

Vintage Vogue stamp set

And here’s the second sheet.  I hope you will stop by tomorrow to see what I do with one or both of these papers.  I look forward to incorporating them into a fun project!

So Tweet Chipboard Card

by Becky Jensen on June 10, 2010

So Tweet Chipboard

Today’s card was made using the So Tweet Chipboard which is about to retire and the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.  This is a pretty simple and cheery card.  I can see giving this to a preteen girl or anyone girl who needs a little pick me up.

Flight of the Butterfly stamp set

In case you can’t read it, the trail the butterfly has flown says, “If nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies.  – unknown.”

See you tomorrow!

Kindergarten Scrapbook Page & Graduation

May 28, 2010

I mentioned the other day that I’ve been working on a “secret project.”  I was in the midst of making two scrapbooks, one for Micah’s Kindergarten teacher and one of the teacher’s aid to be presented at graduation last evening.  I had some help but still a lot of it was my ball game and [...]

Vintage Military Scrapbook Page

April 16, 2010

I needed to make one more project for the Red, White and Blue challenge I mentioned the other day.  Here it is!    This is my grandfather.  This is my favorite picture from when he was in the military and I wanted it to have an exclusive page in the scrapbook (I just love being able [...]

Stampin’ Up! Product Shares Are In The Mail

April 14, 2010

I’m afraid I don’t have a project to share with you today.  I decided to take yesterday off just to be lazy and read a good book.  Now how do you like that? I did want to take a quick minute to let you know I have shipped the latest shares.  Those of you who [...]

Stampin’ Up! Apron Card

April 6, 2010

One of my upline members gave a challenge today to make a project with an apron.  The only time I ever wear an apron is when I am demonstrating so I decided to make a Stampin’ Up! apron.  I used the Totally Tess stamp set to help me accomplish the task. With the cute little [...]
