Outlined Occasions Birthday Card

Outlined Occasions Birthday Card

I thought you might like to see another card I made to showcase one of the techniques we learned in the Stewartstown Stamping Techniques club.  We learned how to make the fun background you see here!

I had to pull out one of the Sale-A-Bration stamp sets for this card, the Outlined occasions stamp set!  This fun set fit the bill perfectly! I really do need to find some more time to play with this whimsical stamp set!

As you can imagine, I have been busy making valentines for my children to take to church and school for their friends.  The wonderful new Hearts Framelit dies along with the Build A Bear die made these so nice and easy (much easier than the others!)  Ethan will be giving these to his Awana Cubbies class so I figured a cubby bear has to be the best option!

Thank you for visiting today!

A Big Shot for Shrewsbury Christian Academy

A Big Shot for Shrewsbury Christian Academy

If you have a Big Shot, you know how easy it is to cut out shapes for your crafts.  Just think out helpful it would be for school teachers as they prepare their classroom and lessons and projects!  Many public schools have a die cutting system the teachers have access to and I can tell you from personal experience how helpful it is!

I am working in conjunction with Shrewsbury Christian Academy of New Freedom, PA (the private school my children attend) to raise funds for a Big Shot and dies the teachers can use.  This wonderful die cutting machine, and the dies we would like to purchase, will allow teachers to cut letters for on bulletin boards and fun shapes for name tags, bulletin boards, crafts with the children and so much more!

Seeing as this is Sale-A-Bration time, the school is also looking forward to getting many free goodies from Stampin’ Up! like the From Your Teacher stamp sets and cardstock to use in the new Big Shot!

Below is a donation button if you have any interest in helping us purchase the Big Shot and dies!  Also, I will be donating my 20% instant income from all merchandise orders received on February 14 (between 12:01 A.M. and Midnight) to this cause!

If you would like to make a donation of any amount to help the teachers and staff, I would love to send you a fun handmade card in the mail (just make sure I have your address!)

Thank you for considering a donation!  The leadership team at our school is very excited about the new possibilities the Big Shot will open up for them!  We will be accepting donations through February 16.

Be sure to view the Take it to Heart card I posted today as well!   If you would like to raise funds for an organization you support, contact me! Have a wonderful day!

Handmade Card with Sale-A-Bration DSP

Handmade Card with Sale-A-Bration DSP

Heard from the Heart stamp set

This is a simple card similar to the ones I made this for four of my downline members who had the top sales for the team during the month of December.  The card uses paper and ribbon which will be available for free during Sale-A-Bration which begins on January 24.

Everyday Enchantment DSP

When I used the new Adorning Accents Edgelit die to cut the Everyday Enchantment DSP for the front of the card, a little decorative strip was left.  I thought rather than waste the little strip, I would put it on the inside of the card as you see here.  I think it’s a cute little touch!

Have you given any thought to becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator?  Sale-A-Bration is the absolute best time to become a demonstrator!  The Starter Kit is going to be on sale for for $125 as opposed to the normal $175 and then Stampin’ Up! will give demonstrators a choice of a pack of DSP or Digital Download each month for the entire year!  Please ask me for more details on this great offer!  You may be interested in selling Stampin’ Up! or you may wish to purchase all your future Stampin’ Up! supplies at a 20% discount.  Whatever the reason, if you have any interest at all, please contact me so I can share more information with you.  I want you on my team!

Thank you for stopping by today!

Additional StampThat Studio Additions

Additional StampThat Studio Additions

SU! DSP

This may not seem like much to you, but I spent quite a bit of time working on this set of shelves today.  I wish I had thought to take a “before” picture!  I went through every bit of Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper I have and sorted and organized – doesn’t it look lovely!  I thought I’d better record this moment, I’m sure the shelves won’t stay like this for long!

Part of the process was weeding out all the retired DSP.  Those who visit the studio will find the cello packs of DSP in the Dollar Deals.  There are a good number there to choose from!

New Framelits Dies

Here’s an addition.  These are our new Framelits Dies!  Oh my are they fun!!!  I can’t wait to introduce you to them in the upcoming Stampin’ Up! Parties and classes!  I mounted a magnetic strip on the wall (advertised for holding kitchen knives but stamping supplies are much more fun!) right behind the Big Shot so they’re easy to keep track of and grab when needed.  They come in a nice little case and I’ll be using that when I travel with them.

As you can see, I’ve been busy!  I look forward to getting back to stamping and sharing those projects with you soon!

Petal Cone Christmas Gifts

Petal Cone Christmas Gifts

Petal Cone Die

I had a couple extra cones left from stamping with the 2nd graders the other day (my samples) and I didn’t want to waste them.  So, I decided to dress them up a little more and turn them into gifts!

I added some scalloped half-circles that are textured with the Snow Burst embossing folder.  Then I used some Very Vanilla 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon to hold on a tag stamped from the Tags til Christmas stamp set.  It’s simple but with some chocolates inside, they make a fun little gift for a friend!

It’s hard to believe my youngest turns 4 today!  Happy Birthday to Ethan!

Flower Folds Pillow Decor

Flower Folds Big Shot Die

After 9 years of marriage my husband and I are getting our first new bed and mattress!  Back when I was expecting Jaan (now 5 1/2) I made a comforter for on our bed and now yesterday I finally decided to get out the sewing machine and sew some shams and a decorative pillow for match.  Silly me, I really don’t like sewing.

The fun part of making the pillow was putting this lovely together for it.  Let me just say, making this flower took a mere fraction or the time it took to make the pillow!  With the Flower Folds Big Shot die all the layers of this flower were cut out in just one pass through the Big Shot.

A little White Baker’s Twine and a Subtle Collection button and the flower was put together and ready for the pillow.

Die cut fabric

Here’s a look at the pillow.  If you were to look at it closely you’d know it leaves a lot to be desired but from a distance it isn’t too bad.

Have you experimented with your Big Shot and materials other than paper?  Tomorrow I hope to post details about the Big Shot materials share I am offering.  (Yes, I know I was to be offering the DSP share next, there is a reason why I’m changing the order, just hang in there with me, it’s to your benefit!)

Thank you for stopping by today!

Cutting Butterflies with the Big Shot

Beautiful Butterflies Big Shot Die

I was so excited to come across these frames the other day.  They’re almost perfect Top Notes!!  How fun is that?  They were Baja Breeze in color but that didn’t work so I painted them white.

I’m sure you’ve guessed it, it’s for my bathroom!  This particular frame, like yesterday’s stamped artwork, uses a piece of the sheer curtains and then I cut butterflies from Whisper White cardstock and used some Crystal Effects and  glass glitter that was available in the last mini catalog.

Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder

Here’s another one.  Once again, the butterflies were cut out with the Beautiful Butterflies Big Shot die and then I ran them through again with the Elegant Lines embossing folder and added some Basic Rhinestones.

Four white frames with butterflies what do you do with all of those in a tiny little bathroom?

Butterly Wall

You hang them all together!  Oh why can’t pictures look as good as real life?  I guess you’ll just have to come to a class at StampThat! (and then visit the bathroom of course!) so you can see them.

There will be more pictures once the Decor Elements arrive . . . In the meantime, I’m looking forward to Scrapbooking Club tomorrow at the Mason Dixon Library and then Watercoloring and 3D Big Shot classes Tuesday afternoon and evening and then the fun of another wedding at the end of the week.  It’s going to be a busy week!

Thank you for stopping by!

Lots of Love Letterpress Card

Lots of Love Letterpress Plate

I promised to teach about the Letterpress Plates in the Big shot Magic class.  We’ve had two sessions of the class so far and I think the Letterpress Plates are a hit.  We learned by making the card you see here.

Heart to Heart Punch

This is a really simple card but as sometimes happens, it’s lovely in its simplicity.

If  you have not yet signed up for the Big Shot Magic class there is still time!  Email me or post a comment to let me know you would like to join us!

Thank you for stopping by today!  As the winter weather hit us (here in PA) today I hope you will able to find a few minutes to create!

Stampin' Up! Bliss Monogram Card

Bliss stamp set

Sale-A-Bration begins tomorrow!  I am so excited!  Stampin’ Up! has so many exciting free things to offer this year, one of them is the Bliss stamp set.  I just love the swirly in this set.  You know how I like those swirlies!  Oh and of course the Framed Tulip embossing folder!

Framed Tulip embossing folder

Here’s a close up for you.  The monogram letter was made with the thin cork sold by Stampin’ Up! and the Serif Essential Alphabet die.  The cork adds a fun, different texture to the card that’s not expected.  I like it!  What do you think?

Thank you for stopping by!  I hope you’ll take a quick minute to leave a comment!

Stampin' Up Dasher Christmas Card

Dasher Christmas Card

Welcome back to the Blog Tour!  I showed this Christmas card a week or two ago which we made at the last Christmas Card class.  It’s it lovely?  We did use some retired ribbon on this card so I thought it would be fun to make another card with the Dasher set with a similar sketch but totally different.

Jolly Holiday Dasher Card

Here we go.  There are a lot of similarities but I’d say it has a whole new look!  What do you think?

Jolly Holiday Designer Series Paper

I had fun using the Jolly Holiday DSP, Old Olive Striped grosgrain ribbon, Real Red 1/8″ taffeta ribbon, basic rhinestones, Brights & Regals Brads and the Top Note die.  I wanted to use the brads in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler because they fit so nicely with the paper.

Can you believe this is the last day of the Holiday Madness blog tour?  I hope you have enjoyed all the projects we’ve shared with you!  Are you ready for the holidays yet??  Be sure to continue on to see what Laurie and the others have to share today!
