More Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil Projects

Stampin' Up! Decor Stencil

I hope you liked the card yesterday because I was still stuck in that same design mode today!  I made both a card and a scrapbook page with the very idea I used yesterday

To make this 4×4 card I used the Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil from the Decor Elements brochure, the En Francais background stamp, Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon and Very Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware.

Family Portrait Scrapbook Page

Here is the scrapbook page I made with the same basic idea as the card.  What do you think?  This picture is of my parents, my siblings and myself.  I’m the cute little one with pigtails!  This scrapbook page is for inside my father’s scrapbook that he asked me to make.  You can see another page of the scrapbook by following this link to a vintage scrapbook page.

The colors on this scrapbook page page are just a little different from the cards.  I used Kraft cardstock as I did with the cards, however, instead of Chocolate Chip I substituted Soft Suede since it coordinated better with the picture.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing these projects, I’m sure you’ll be seeing this stencil again.  I’m thinking it would be nice with Bravo Burgundy and maybe a touch of Pretty in Pink . . .

Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil on a Card

by Becky Jensen on March 16, 2010

Kind Thoughts Brocade Stencil

I have a lovely card to share with you today.  This is the first time I have used one of our stencils on a card and I love it!  The stencil is pictured below the card is the one I used here.  This card would be wonderful for either a man or a woman.

En Francais & Wings of Friendship stamp sets

I used Chocolate Chip, Kraft and Very Vanilla as my colors for this card.  The stamp sets I used are the En Francais background stamp as well as the Wings of Friendship level 2 hostess set.

So what do you think?

Punch Pal class

Have you signed up for the Punch Pals class yet?  Today is the last day to sign up for the class which will take place on March 30 here in Stewartstown, PA.  Because the class includes the 5×5 art journal I need to get those ordered to have them in time for class.  Please contact me to join the class here in my home or to take the class by mail.

Big Shot, Vinyl & Tulipe Die

by Becky Jensen on March 3, 2010

Up and Coming Project

I found three of these on clearance the other day.  They are like cork boards but with no cork, it is a canvas fabric to tack items to.  I thought they were really neat, I had a little Christmas money left and surely I could use them . . . .

Stampin' up! Tulipe Die

I decided to use a Chocolate Chip Decor Elements Vinyl Sheet (see page 7 of the Decor Elements brochure) along with the Tulipe Die for the Big Shot.  It was so easy to cut the vinyl with big Shot and then all I had to do was rub it on!

StampThat Classroom Decor

I placed these on the wall at the bottom of the steps to the basement.  You know, now that I have them decorated and hanging, I’m not sure I want to pin anything to them!  For now I think I’ll leave them the way they are and then maybe I’ll pin something to them later.

So, what do you think?

Shelf Life Decor Elements

by Becky Jensen on October 7, 2009

Stampin' Up! Shelf Life Decor ElementsStampin' Up! DecorI’m excited to share these Decor Elements with you.  A friend and I repainted and decorated our church nursery (well, we’re still working on it really.)   These cute white shelves needed something special and yet not heavy to sit on them.  The Shelf Life Decor Elements work perfectly

You can see all of the pieces to the decor set here except for one jar.  There was one more that I didn’t Stampin' Decor Elementsuse.  It just seemed like it’d be too much.

If you’ve never used Decor Elements before, they’re very easy.  They are much like a rub-on.  You position the paper on the wall and then rub it so the decor sticks to the wall and simply pull off the paper.  That’s all there Vinyl Wall Decoris to it!  When you’re done with the  decor you simply peal it off your wall (note that these are not reusable.)

You can view the Decor Elements Brochure by clicking on the brochure in the left-hand column.

Manhattan Flower Decor Elements

July 27, 2009

I’ve liked these Manhattan Flower Decor Elements since they first came out.  Recently I needed to redeem some free points from Stampin’ Up! before they disappeared so I decided to get these for my bedroom with its roses and burgundy curtains.  I like them!  I got one set of Chocolate Chip and one in Kraft.
My [...]

More of a New Look for my Scrapbook

June 23, 2009

I couldn’t leave the scrapbook alone for long, I needed to get the cover finished.  (See yesterday’s post if you have no clue what I’m talking about.)
Today I decided to stencil part of the flourish in each corner in the same style and colors as yesterday.  Once I had that done and at least mostly [...]

A New Look for My Scrapbook

June 22, 2009

I’ve heard some people comment on how plain the Stampin’ Up! scrapbooks are.  I’d like to offer another train of thought, just think how much you can do with a plain scrapbook!  I have seen Stampin’ Up! scrapbooks that have been decorated so they look more lovely than any scrapbooks I’ve seen in the store.
Today [...]
