I found three of these on clearance the other day. They are like cork boards but with no cork, it is a canvas fabric to tack items to. I thought they were really neat, I had a little Christmas money left and surely I could use them . . . .
Stampin' up! Tulipe Die
I decided to use a Chocolate Chip Decor Elements Vinyl Sheet (see page 7 of the Decor Elements brochure) along with the Tulipe Die for the Big Shot. It was so easy to cut the vinyl with big Shot and then all I had to do was rub it on!
StampThat Classroom Decor
I placed these on the wall at the bottom of the steps to the basement. You know, now that I have them decorated and hanging, I’m not sure I want to pin anything to them! For now I think I’ll leave them the way they are and then maybe I’ll pin something to them later.
I’m excited to share these Decor Elements with you. A friend and I repainted and decorated our church nursery (well, we’re still working on it really.) These cute white shelves needed something special and yet not heavy to sit on them. The Shelf Life Decor Elements work perfectly
You can see all of the pieces to the decor set here except for one jar. There was one more that I didn’t use. It just seemed like it’d be too much.
If you’ve never used Decor Elements before, they’re very easy. They are much like a rub-on. You position the paper on the wall and then rub it so the decor sticks to the wall and simply pull off the paper. That’s all there is to it! When you’re done with the decor you simply peal it off your wall (note that these are not reusable.)
You can view the Decor Elements Brochure by clicking on the brochure in the left-hand column.
I’ve liked these Manhattan Flower Decor Elements since they first came out. Recently I needed to redeem some free points from Stampin’ Up! before they disappeared so I decided to get these for my bedroom with its roses and burgundy curtains. I like them! I got one set of Chocolate Chip and one in Kraft.
My posts may end up being a bit sporadic this week. My grandfather passed away this morning and being as I’m directing VBS this week as well . . . I’m not sure how my schedule is going to go. Please bear with me and I’ll post as I am able!
I couldn’t leave the scrapbook alone for long, I needed to get the cover finished. (See yesterday’s post if you have no clue what I’m talking about.)
Today I decided to stencil part of the flourish in each corner in the same style and colors as yesterday. Once I had that done and at least mostly dry, I tied double-stitched Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon around the cover and added a few little embellishments.
For the embellishments I used an “m” from the Lots of Letters Chipboard set and colored it with Night of Navy classic ink. On an extended tag, cut with the Stampin’ Up! tag punches, I stamped the definition of “memories” from the Define Your Life stamp set. The tag and M along with three pearls are attached to a hat pin from the Pretties Kit.
So, have I successfully changed the plain Night of Navy cover? I’m very excited about it! Now the whole scrapbook truly is my own work of art!
I’ve heard some people comment on how plain the Stampin’ Up! scrapbooks are. I’d like to offer another train of thought, just think how much you can do with a plain scrapbook! I have seen Stampin’ Up! scrapbooks that have been decorated so they look more lovely than any scrapbooks I’ve seen in the store.

With the new catalog is coming a new Decor Elements Brochure. There are some very neat and new elements in there too! I was able to preorder one of these especially for my boys.
I must admit I chose this totally for the picture, although the saying does fit (at least when it comes to the [...]
I made this cute little welcome sign yesterday. “Welcome” is our vinyl decor elements and then the flowers are stamped using Elegant Eggplant Craft ink and the new Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.
Believe it or not, I actually mixed the purple paint color myself. I used white craft ink from Walmart mixed with Elegant Eggplant [...]
So, sometime during the night as I was up with the baby multiple times, I had an idea. I could use the Decor Elements vinyl along with my Big Shot to create a wreath on the storm door. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out. I used the Snowflake #2 die to cut out [...]
