Chipboard and Ribbon Coaster Boxes

Pick a Petal BoxI thought I’d share a couple boxes I have made in the past using coasters.  These are the coasters they put under you drink at some restaurants like Chilies.  (I understand you can also purchase these coasters without any writing on them from various sources.)

This first box with the Pick a Petal stamp set was actually a stamp camp project I did with my stamping ladies way back in Akron, OH before moving here to PA.  The colors on this particular box are old in-colors and no longer current.

Love You Much & Baroque MotifsA couple months ago I was again inspired to create a couple of these boxes.  This second box was made using the Love You Much and Baroque Motifs stamp sets.

The Crop-A-Dile has greatly aided in the making of these boxes!  When I first did the boxes with my group back in Ohio I didn’t have a Crop-A-Dile and it took a lot of work and a very hurt hand to get all the wholes punched for the ribbon.  At that time I used the 1/8″ circle punch.

Flight of the Butterfly BoxThis last box was made with the Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.  If you were to see a side view you’d see that there are actually two butterflies.  The top butterfly’s wings are left unglued to flap.

These little boxes can be used to hold a variety of different things.  I am currently using one of them to hold extra buttons I have cut out using the Big Shot and the buttons #5 sizzlit die.

I hope these have inspired you to create!  Thank you for the comments that have been left recently!  I love hearing from you!
