Christmas Ribbon Wreath Card

Stampin' Up! Christmas CardI’m excited to show you this card, I’ve had it made for a couple days now and I’ve been wanting to get it on here for you.  The Christmas wreath you see there is made from ribbon!  The ribbon weaving I used here is very simple to do and a whole lot of fun!  What you see is actually the back of the weave, I decided I liked the look of the back better than the front for this card.  Tomorrow I will be showing you another project with this weave and then you’ll be able to see the front.  It does not take a lot of time but it does take a decent amount of ribbon.

To make this card I used some retired green grosgrain ribbon for the wreath (called Spring Moss a couple years ago but pretty much the same as our Mellow Moss ribbon now) and then some Very Vanilla.  I used some Gold brads to put bulbs on the wreath.  The cardstock colors are Very Vanilla, Brushed Gold and Bravo Burgundy embossed with the Finial Press embossing folder.

In the center of the wreath I used the Modern Label punch and Word Window Punch and stamped Merry Christmas from Teeny Tiny Wishes with gold encore ink.

I hope you’ll take a minute to leave a comment today.  I know everyone is very busy at this time of year but it’s always wonderful to get a little note that says you’ve been here checking out the projects!

Don’t forget tomorrow is the last day to receive a special Stampin’ Up! gift from me and also the last day of the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Extravaganza.  If you haven’t contacted me yet with your order please do!  Don’t forget to give your Stampin’ Up! wish list to family members and friends as well.  I strongly urge placing Christmas gift orders by December 4 to ensure timely delivery.  Orders placed during the next week will probably make it in time but . . . .

    • Hi Laura,

The wreath does take a lot of ribbon. You need to start with a piece approx. 2 yards long and you’ll use a good deal of that. I will probably do a tutorial here in the next couple of days for you. 🙂
