Climbing Orchid Handmade Card

Climbing Orchid Handmade Card

We pulled out the new Climbing Orchid stamp set for the Step It Up class!  There are a bunch of stamps and dies to this set, but they come together to make lovely orchids.  I always think of buying an orchid, maybe some day.

When I earned a free trip to San Diego from Stampin’ Up!, we visited Balboa Park.  The gardens there are so lovely and the area with orchids is breathtaking!  Wouldn’t you know, right there at the orchids, that’s where my camera battery had to die.  I couldn’t believe it.  I hope I can go back there some day!

In the meantime, I get to create with the Climbing Orchid stamp set which will remind me of the beauty of God’s creation!

I have a fun idea I’m looking forward to trying out in the future with this set.  I look forward to sharing it with you when it is done!

In the meantime . . . school starts tomorrow (or probably “today” when many of you read this).  I don’t know where the summer has gone!  Please bear with me as we transition back to this schedule and balancing classes and school.  Hopefully it will go a little more smoothly this year as I have a better idea of what to expect, as do my boys.

Thank you for coming by today!

  1. First of all Becky, anyone who knows you, know that you have 3 handsome sons and a hard working husband to take care of and that is a full time job in itself. I admire you and all the hard work you put int0 your ” Stampin’ Up ” job and you always have time every single day to share your beautiful creations with everyone even if they are not able to attend your classes. If I lived closer, I for one would be joining in the class fun. I try very hard not to miss your posts. Once in a while, if I am not feeling well, I miss one, but I always go back and try to find the ones that I have missed and leave a comment. Thank you for today’s share, the ” Climbing Orchid Handmade Card “. I know what you mean about “Orchids”, they are indeed beautiful. What is the color you used to create this share for today? The tiny white pearls are beautiful for the center. Did the background card stock come as it is or did you have to make it like it is? Hello to your family and enjoy the rest of the day. (:

    • Hi Sheila,

Thank you for your comments. 🙂 I used the new Berry Burst color and the new Garden Trellis embossing folder to make the background.

  2. That is so pretty. Do you suppose the orchids will survive the mail? Sure hope so when I copy it!!!

    • Hi Jo! The orchids might get a little flattened but otherwise I don’t see why they wouldn’t survive the mail.
