Cork & Post It Message Boards

I spent a good part of my day today working on items to sell at the Markets at Shrewsbury as well as the Etsy shop I am getting ready to start. Once I have the Etsy shop up and running I will put a link here on my blog so you can visit it. In the meantime, one of the items I worked on today was my message boards. Here are pictures.

Laura May 25, 2009 at 8:23 pm: Becky, how big are each of these? I’m trying to figure out the size – are they as big as a message board/corkboard one would hang on the wall? Or are they more appropriate to have, for instance, by the telephone to take messages? Very pretty, no matter what the size!

The message boards are 4″ x 6″. They have a magnet on the back so they’re great to hang on the fridge for quick little messages to family members or phone messages. Thanks for your comment!

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment! Cork board is actually very easy to cut using the Big Shot and the bigz type dies! I was so amazed at the easiness when I tried it the first time! Thank you for asking!

Kate July 15, 2009 at 6:13 am: We love ours! I hate to have things on the front of the fridge…don’t like the clutter…but this is perched above the water/ice dispenser. It’s been great for jotting down upcoming events/tasks/appointments/etc., since we usually forget to check the calendar regularly. Love it!
Kate April 8, 2010 at 7:09 am: Recently came across a suggestion, tested it, and found that it works very well–use straight-post earrings instead of push pins or thumbtacks on a corkboard. The posts tend to be a little long, but a good pair of wire snips takes care of that little issue. This is a great use for pretty post earrings for those of us who don’t have pierced ears or for those single earrings that have lost their mates!
