Deck the Halls Christmas Card

Bells & Boughs stamp set

I have another Christmas card to share with you today.  I do promise to show something other than Christmas before long.  I attended the Stampin’ Up! Regional Seminar in Baltimore on Friday and we made six projects using the Day of Gratitude stamp set which is on page 12 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I’m sure you’ll be seeing some of those before long!  But for today, let’s look at one more Christmas card.

Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper

This card was made using the Deck the Halls DSP and Bells & Boughs stamp set (these can be found on pages 18-19 of the Holiday Mini Catalog.)  To be totally honest with you, this is not my favorite card but I don’t think it’s so bad that it can’t be sent to someone.  (Now don’t go thinking I don’t like you if you’re the lucky one to receive it in the mail!)

I used some of our basic pearls as well as our Smooch Accent Ink to decorate the swirly and I also used the Accent Ink on the bells.  One of my faithful readers pointed out something to me today.  Cherry Cobbler looks a lot different in real life than in the pictures on my blog.  For some reason, when I take a picture of it, it looks a lot brighter than it really is.  Do you see the red in the designer paper?  That is Cherry Cobbler.  Do you see the red on the bells?  That is also Cherry Cobbler.  The red on the designer paper is the true color.  Just something for you to keep in mind when you see pictures with Cherry Cobbler in them.  That same person also said it looks so much better in real life!

Thank you for stopping by today!  Stop back again soon for more handmade fun!

  1. If the colors of the bells are a little more muted–like the background–I like this card a lot and would be thrilled to have it show up in my mailbox. 😉 Even if they’re not, I still like it, but for another card made with the same set-up, I might opt for calmer colors for the bells.

  2. Beautiful card! See you tonight to make Christmas cards of my own!

  3. Love this card girl – it’s stunning and it’s different. TFS
