Define Your Life in an Elegant Way

I had a great time stamping with the ladies in Rising Sun, MD last night!   The hostess asked me to make one of the cards for an “old but new creation.”  I had to think about that one for a while!  What exactly does that mean?  Old style, old stamp set, old layout?  I finally thought of the card below which was the “old.”

Thoughts & Prayers stamp set

The hostess made this card at least a year ago (maybe two!) at a friends card party.  I decided I could take that basic design but change it up with some new accessories, colors and papers to make it new.  I also know I’ve used the Define Your Life stamp set at that same event (oh so long ago) on a different card  so I thought I’d throw it into the mix too.  (How do I remember these things?!)

What to see what I came up with?

What do you think?   Is it “old” and “new” all at the same time?  I used some of my favorite things on this card, Early Espresso  and the Elegant Lines embossing folder!

Elegant Soiree DSP & Elegant Lines embossing folder

This card is made using the Elegant Soiree DSP, Elegant Lines embossing folder, Bird Punch, Top Note die, Early Espresso 1/8″ taffeta ribbon and Define Your Life stamp set.  I really like it!  I haven’t used the bird punch as much as I should yet, he’s really cute!

The colors used are Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze and of course Early Espresso.

Some of you may just happen to see this card again on Saturday afternoon at Laura’s  party in Stewartstown, PA!  I hope you don’t mind seeing it a little early!

Happy stamping!
