Here is a Christmas card I made about two weeks ago. The background paper is dry embossed with a Stampin’ Up! texturz plate to give it the swirlies. That cardstock is then layered onto Brushed Silver Cardstock and then another layer of Night of Navy.
For the ornaments I used Platinum colored Shimmer Paint. I simply used a paint brush to brush the paint onto the stamp and then stamped it. Very simple. Once the paint was dry I punched them out with the Stampin’ Up! Ornament Punch. They are hanging from Silver Elastic Cord.
“Merry Christmas” is from the All Holidays stamp set. I decided to go ahead and emboss that with silver embossing powder instead of using the shimmer paint simply because I wanted the texture that the embossing provides.
I hope you’ve had a wonderful day. I’m off to enjoy the last couple hours of my birthday!
Happy Birthday Becky! I love that card. Seeing your work gets me inspired.
Beautiful and classy! This would be simple enough to make a lot for a large Christmas list. Thank you for sharing. Hope you had a great birthday! My best friends birthday is today and mine is Friday! September birthday’s are the best.
This card is so serene. What a wonderful start to my day. I was looking for ideas for workshops and this one gives a beautiful result without too many parts. Thanks for sharing.
