One last day of Disney pictures and then it’s back to lots of creative sharing! On Thursday evening we were able to drop the boys off for a special Kid’s Night Out as all the trip achievers and their first guests headed to the Epic Stunt Theater at Hollywood Studios. As we boarded the buses we were handed these fun bags. Inside we found cotton candy, popcorn and bottled water!
The show began with Indiana Jones falling through the roof and going through several scary moves to get his treasure (sorry, it’s been a while since I’ve seen the movies, I don’t remember exactly which scene it was.) After that scene and Shelli taking time to grant some of the wishes we made, the backdrop moved away and suddenly we were looking at a street in Morocco. A street scene that was being set up for us to eat our meal!
We watched some more fun stunts as the whole scene was set up before us. What fun! Once we got to go on set, the food was so good! A real meal with meat and potatoes and salad. Yum! (The rest of the week we pretty much lived on pizza and hamburgers. . . )
Part of the fun of the evening was getting our picture taken with Aladdin, Jasmine and Japhar and also Mickey and Minnie (but that one turned out blurry.)
They also had green screens where they had us pose and took our picture. It wasn’t until we received the print that we knew what we were running away from. We thought this turned out pretty well despite the fact that we’re grinning as we run away from a scary scene.
We don’t get too many evenings out but this was definitely one to remember!
In the next few days I look forward to sharing cards with some of the techniques we learned in the Stewartstown Tech Club last night and projects from the May Stamp of the Month Club.
You’ll also want to keep your eyes out for information on a special In Color club I plan to begin so you can get all your new in-color supplies plus ribbon shares and more! There’s just so much exciting stuff to do!
