Dreaming about taking a vacation

Stampin' Up! Seaside stamp setWe’ve been talking a little about what to do for our family vacation this year.  Where should we go, what should we do, what can we afford . . . .  You know, all those fun questions.  My two older sons keep saying they want to go back to Ocean City.  We’ll see!

Being as we’ve been talking some about the ocean, this seemed like an appropriate card to post for the day.  This is a 4″x4″ card which isn’t a typical size but quite doable.  I used the Seaside stamp set from Stampin’ Up! along with “happy birthday” from  . . . well, I’m not sure the name of it.  Did that set retire?  I can’t find it in the catalog.  Sorry, I’ll have to get back to you on that one.

I’m sure you can tell that I did add just a little bit of water coloring to the seashells but it didn’t take much.  The Hemp Twine and paper clip from the clip assortment added a lot more life and texture to the card.  It’s something a little different that would be good for either a guy or girl.

The Grosgrain Ribbon Share is going well.  I have 14 people signed up at this point.  If you would like to participate you need to contact me by 5:00 Wednesday evening.  I will be placing the order for the ribbon that evening and then it will be to late!

Also, I wanted to mention the upcoming All Occasions Card class.  There is a cap of 10 people for this class.  In order to reserve your spot, I must receive your payment for the class.  I am going to post the information belowfor you.  As of this evening, have 4 of the 10 spots reserved.  If you would like to participate, please contact me.

  1. If you’re still trying to decide on a vacation spot, may I recommend Lancaster/Chester County? There are many lovely places to stay, and there are even more things to do for not too much money! You even have access to a no-charge pottery studio, if you want to try some other stamping techniques. : ]
