Fabric Covered Box – Christmas Ornament Storage

Fabric Covered Box – Christmas Ornament Storage

So, how crazy would it be to bid on my own donation to the Silent Auction at my children’s school? I sat down and made this box yesterday specifically for the auction . . . but I’m going to have a hard time giving it away! I love how it looks with the lid and the Christmas Ornament on top!  I don’t have a lot of boxes with attached lids but I specifically needed that for this project.

I am filling the box with handmade ornaments!  I thought it would be fun to have a storage container specifically made for the ornaments to keep them safe from heavier bulbs and the like.  What do you think?  As you can tell, I need to make some more ornaments, but I’m getting there.  Now if I can just convince myself to let them go when I’m done . . .

I’m looking forward to the StampThat Team meeting tonight!  Several of my downline are coming over and some are participating long-distance as we have a shoebox swap.  I can’t wait to see all the different card designs everyone comes up with!  I’ll share my design in a few days . . . but first I have to come up with it.  Time to get to work!  Have a wonderful day!

  1. What a stunningly beautiful project! (Dare I bid against you?!)
    🙂

    • Of course you can Nancy! If I actually won the bid I’m sure Andrew would think I’m crazier than he already does!!

  2. This is gorgeous, Becky! I’d have a hard time letting it go too!! What a great idea for those beautiful ornaments!!!! Love it! 🙂

  3. It would be hard for me to part with something so beautiful. I would surely bid on it too if the rules allow. Another good thing about “The Fabric Covered Storage Box” is that you can always make another one for yourself. In our Knitting & Crocheting Groups, whenever we have an “Exchange”, most of us cover an empty box with Fabric or decorative paper and attach a note to it. The note states the knowledge of an empty box, but also says that the recipient can put anything they want in it. I am just sharing this with everyone, like Creative Becky does. Thanks Becky, keep them coming.

  4. It is gorgeous!!! I wished I could bid on it. I would love to have it.
