Welcome to the Last Minute Holiday Blog Tour! I have so many things I’m looking forward to sharing with you in the next four days. I hope you’ll come back each day to visit!
This is a card I created to go along with the frame I’m going to show you below. The colors I used here are Handsome Hunter, Real Red, Basic Black and the Encore gold ink pad. The branch you see is from the So Tweet Chipboard found on page 185 of the Idea Book & Catalog and then I pulled the little “berries” from various other chipboard packages like the On Board Batch of Blossoms. I used craft ink to color the chipboard and adhered it with a 2-way glue pen. “MERRY CHRISTMAS” is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp set.
Now let’s see what I made this card to go with!
I apologize for the glare of the flash in this picture, but I want you to see the fully framed project! Wouldn’t this be lovely decor to hang in your home at Christmas? This is 12×12 in size (before framing) and the frame was bought at a local craft store. Let me show you a picture of it outside the frame so there won’t be a glare.
Again, the colors being used here are Handsome Hunter, Real Red, Basic Black, Only Orange and the Encore gold ink pad.
The bird is from the So Tweet Chipboard collection. When I sat down to come up with this little guy I had to think through a cardinal. It was important to add the basic black to his mouth and then a little tuft at the top of his head (which I did by cutting petals from a flower in the On Board Lots of Letters.) I think he turned out pretty cute!
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you’ve enjoyed what I’ve shown you today. Any comments are very much welcomed if you have a couple extra seconds. I hope you will stop by again tomorrow. I’ve been having a lot of fun with White Stazon ink lately . . . .
