Fresh Cuts Card Ideas

by Becky Jensen on May 18, 2009

Fresh Cuts Handstamped CardToday we’re going to revisit a couple cards from the past.  We made these cards at a class just about a year ago.  It can be fun to go back and look at cards from the past – sometimes it leads to new inspiration and sometimes it shows just how much your personal style has changed.

Both of these cards were made using the Fresh Cuts Thank YouStampin’ Up! Fresh Cuts stamp set exclusively.  As many of you know, I like making black and white cards.  The second card includes Ruby Red from the Earth Elements color family, not a color I find myself using often. But it worked well here.

Isn’t it neat to see how you can take one stamp set, a couple colors of ink and cardstock, and make two cards that are so different?  There are so many other designs that can be done with this one stamp set too!  I just love the versatility of stamps!

Becky, the stamps that you used inside the hardware, what set is that from? (That’s the same set we used Monday night, correct?). Seems like a very useful set :)

Hi Laura!

On Monday night we used the Warm Words stamp set (page 132 in the catalog) for the Friends Scrapbook Layout. The Fesh Cuts Cards are actually from the Fresh Cuts stamp set on page 92 of the catalog. I use the words from both of these stamp sets a lot. They’re just the right size for so many things!!!

Thank you for visiting my website and leaving a comment!!!
