Going, going, Gone!

2-page scrapbook layout

I have to tell you a little bit of background for this page.  This is my little guy who spent every night of his first 3 months sleeping on daddy’s chest.  These pictures were taken when we finally started transitioning himto sleeping in the bouncy seat out in the living room .  Daddy was holding him to get him to sleep and his eyes were just so heavy as he watched me take his picture.  For the record, this little guy is now 3, Jaan, and he still gets his Daddy up once a night at least.  He’s Daddy’s boy!

I had a lot of fun making this scrapbook page!  When I went through my pictures to choose the ones to print I knew I had to do a page of these.  There are a lot of memories tied in with these pictures and the progression caught in them is wonderful.

The colors I used are Gable Green, Ballet Blue and Whisper White.  The “Going” letters were cut using the Big Shot and the Naturally Serif die and then “Gone!” was cut with the Go Go Boots dies.  For the dots and dashes making up the border is Stampin’ Up! 1/4″ Circle Punch (which I just realized must be retired as it’s not in the current catalog) and the Stampin’ Up! Horizontal Slot Punch.  It took a lot of gluing with all those little pieces but the effect was worth it.  It’s hard to see in the photo but I used the Signo White Gel Pen to draw additional dashed line outside the punched order.  On the right-hand page I then wrote the journaling with a Ballet Blue Stampin’ Write Marker outside the white dashed lines.

The stamped circles you see are from the retired Riveting Hostess Set (which is on my retired stamps sale list).  I stamped these in Ballet Blue Craft Ink and Whisper White Craft Ink.

My little guys are great and I love scrapbooking their pictures.  Thanks for letting me share them with you and for visiting my blog!  I hope you’ll leave a comment and let me know you’ve stopped by!  Don’t forget you can opt to be alerted by email when I post a new entry if you sign up for my RSS Feed.  I’ve now made over 100 entries on this blog!  A year ago I never would have believed it possible!
