Handcrafted Stampin' Up! Victorian House

Welcome to Day #1 of our  RemARKable Open House Blog Tour!  I think you’re in for some surprises!   You may notice that many of us participating in the tour are offering special Open House Classes.  Please know this is essentially the same class which includes the house pattern, and an idea sheet with a total of 30 house ideas on it.   As one of my customers if you have not yet registered for the class, my class is  being held on  February 23 at  6:00 P.M. in my home in Stewartstown, PA.  (Please note, we will be making a different house than the one shown here.)  If you are unable to attend class on that date, you can make up the class up at the February 26 PMS Night or whatch your email inbox – customers on my mailing list will receive details on how they can participate in this class via mail.

Victorian Home with a Gift Inside

Victorian Home with a Surprise Inside

This is my Victorian home, most likely the only one I’ll ever own!  I’ll be the first to admit my architectural skills are far from perfect but I think it turned out fairly well over all.  This house was fun in a challenging sort of way.

Creating outside the box

Creating outside the box

As you can see, I had a lot of fun using our new Scallop Trim Border Punch for the veranda, door and under the eaves.  One of the Stampin’ Up! exclusive texturz plates along with some Basic Gray ink and a brayer made it easy to add some texture to the roof.

Close up of details

I had originally hoped to add an addition to the side of the house but I’m afraid by the time I built the veranda I wasn’t up to tackling it.  Perhaps if we get all the snow that’s predicted this weekend I’ll find myself adding that addition!

Here are some close-up pictures for you.

Although this would be cute just to have sitting around, there really is a purpose behind making this little house.  Believe it or not, this is a box that opens up!  Surprise!  I hope you will join me Friday and Saturday as we explore the contents!  For now, here’s just a tiny little sneak peek . . . .

What do you think is inside?

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for more!  If you’d like to leave a comment I would love to hear from you!  Be sure to click on the button below to visit Jill Hilliard and the fun house she created!
