Handmade Baby Boy Card

Bliss and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp sets

I had fun creating a couple cards last evening.  Once again, I used the new Framed Tulip embossing folder, I just can’t seem to help myself!  This isn’t my typical sort of baby card, I usually go a little more delicate with baby cards but I had an idea I wanted to incorporate a scrap piece of the Botanical Gazette DSP.  Besides it’s a boy, I can go a bit less frilly for a boy, right?

Botanical Gazette DSP

I stamped the Swirly from the Bliss stamp set in Early Espresso onto the DSP and then used “hello baby” from Teeny Tiny Wishes with some Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware.  Some Chantilly Crochet Trim and a Marina Mist button rounded out the card.

If you look closely at the first card you will notice I stamped a bit of the swirly on the inside of the card and you can’t see it, but I used a saying from the God’s Blessings stamp set that says, “A baby is a gift from heaven above – bringing joy down to earth, filling hearts full of love.”

So what do you think?  Does it work for a baby card?

  1. I think it works for a baby card and I also think that it is very lovely!!! Thanks for sharing!

  2. I really love this Becky! I like that its a non-traidtional baby card, very trendy. And the swirls on the inside are sweet, you could also stamp that on a matching envelope and still not be over the top!

  3. Beautiful card! Of course it is good for a baby boy – or for any other occasion, as well. I like it a lot.

  4. Hi,
I just stumbled across your site when I was searching for ideas for wedding and bridal shower cards. I am a cardmaker too and I would like to know where can I buy cardboard display stands. I love your cards. Whenver I crfeate my cards I can spend hours making them and I don’t know where the time goes. I want to post my cards too as soon as I wrap up my display booth. Once I retire Iwill have more time to dedicate to my passion. Do you sell your cards too? That’s another problem I have and that is I don’t know how much I should seel my cards for since they are very intricate. Can you give me some ideas. Thank you and once again your cards ar amazing.

  5. Love your cards. Fabulous work. Wish I were closer and could be in your classes.
