Let’s take a logical step and move from all the handmade wedding items I’ve been showing you to some handmade baby cards. I have one card to share with you today and another lovely card for tomorrow.
This is one of the cards we made at the Brides & Babies card class at the Mason-Dixon Library the other evening. This card is so colorful and cheery in person. You can’t see it in the picture but we spritzed on Smooch Spritz to add a little sparkle too!
The letters you see were cut using the Timeless Type Alphabet Dies, then they were mounted onto cardstock punched with the Scallop Square Punch. Stampin’ Up! carries a die to make a large scallop square, however, it’s larger than the normal card size so I had to use the Scallop Edge punch to make the large purple scallop. the organza ribbon is held together with an ice circle rhinestone brad.
The colors used on this card include Whisper White, Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Lovely Lilac. I like the fact that the card uses all baby colors so really you could get away with using it for a boy or a girl with no problem.
This card is my interpretation of a card I saw someone else make. I hope you have enjoyed it! Our next card class is on Monday, June 14 at the Mason Dixon Library in Stewartstown, PA, we will be making all masculine cards! If you are interested in joining us please RSVP soon. I have several registered for the class already and I have a feeling it is going to fill quickly!
