Handmade Masculine Card with a Motorcycle

by Becky on May 21, 2010

Motorcycle stamp set

Here’s the motorcycle card I promised to share with you today.  I had fun making this card even thought it’s the normal “me.”    At first I colored the motorcycle with ink and Aqua Painter but it just wasn’t bright enough so I turned to our Stampin’ Write Markers for the Real Red which pulled through for me wonderfully!

The motorcycle stamp can be found on page 31 of the mini catalog.  This is one of our single stamps and the cost is just $8.95, a great bargain for those guys in your life!  Be sure to check out the other 3 stamps on that same page.  The butterfly seems to be very popular as does the Happy Grad stamp.

I had some fun using the Corner Rounder punch.  I don’t find myself using that punch very often but I thought it was fun to punch just two of the four corners on each of the layers.

Can you see the texture? I used the Crimper on the Basic Gray cardstock and for the Real Red cardstock I used one of the plates from the Texturz Plates #4 set which gives a plaid effect.  The texture and Basic Black eyelets add so much texture and appeal to the card.

I think guys (and even some girls) would be happy to get this card, don’t you?  This card made me think of my brother, who really likes motorcycles, I think he might even approve.

Thank you for stopping by to visit!  Hopefully I am going to get to my 10 minute challenge later today.  I finally went to the doctor yesterday and found out I have an ear infection, I guess that would explain why I’ve been feeling crummy for the last two weeks!

This is great, Becky – I really love the colors even though I probably wouldn’t have thought of it myself! I would love to make this one for my brother-in-law! :) Thanks for sharing and hope you feel better soon!!!

I love the red and the texture on the cardstock. I like the motorcycle stamp. I’m going to buy it from my SU demo. My kids ride motorcycles.

This is a great card, Becky! (Can you hear me?) I was undecided about the motorcycle stamp, but after seeing your card I think it’s a “go,” or should I say a “buy?”

Great job! The card turned out great. I love how you colored the motorcycle and the little details like the crimping and the brads are great.

This is a great card! The bright red with the black and grey are great with that motorcycle stamp! I can think of a couple of people that would love a card like this. Maybe I will have to get that motorcycle stamp after all.
