Handmade Mother's Day Card Idea

by Becky on April 26, 2009

All Holidays & Thoughts and PrayersHere’s another Mother’s Day card idea.  This card uses the Thoughts and Prayer stamp set as well as the All Holidays stamp set.  When I used the Stampin’ Write Markers I added some accents to the flowers by coloring them Lovely Lilac and then adding little touches of Elegant Eggplant.  For the leaves I used Mellow Moss with little touches of Always Artichoke.

The green cardstock on the right is Mellow Moss.  Before running the cardstock through the Big Shot with the Stampin’ Up! Backgrounds I Texture Plate I used a brayer to brayer Always Artichoke ink onto the texture plate.  By doing that, the cardstock that is popped out in the flower design stays uninked and gives it a two-tone look.

I hope that makes sense.  It’s been a long day of fever, coughing and rash with my son so I can’t guarantee I’m making sense!  Thank you for stopping by!
