Isn’t this an adorable little purse? I made it with the free Sale-a-Bration Everyday Enchantment DSP and the new Petite Purse die that will be available for purchase beginning April 1. I love this new die! Can you believe, it only takes an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of paper to make this! The finished purse (not including the handle) measures approximately 1 7/8” high, 2 7/8” wide and 1 3/8” deep.
Here’s another little purse with a Hershey Kiss beside it so you can get an idea of the size. As you can see, I used the Sale-A-Bration brads as a little accent on each purse. I didn’t want the back of the brads to be visible on the inside of the purse so I broke off the two prongs and hot glued the head of the brad on the front of the purse flap. (That’s one of my favorite little tricks when I want the look of a brad but not the background mess of one!)
Here’s a look at a purse that is open. It’s so much fun to see both sides of the Designer Paper! Can you see the little flap by the brad? That inserts into a little slit about halfway down the front of the purse to close it. Simple and easy! In fact, they’re so simple and easy to make . . .
. . . that I made one out of each design in the Everyday Enchantment DSP! It’s such a fun way to see all the different designs in the paper! These would be adorable at a birthday party or tea party or bridal shower with each person getting a unique but coordinating little purse favor!
The Everyday Enchantment Paper is available for just a few more days! Saturday, March 31, 2012 is the last day this paper will be available for free with a $50 purchase. No, it won’t be available for purchase after that date either. Do you have a pack (or two) to play with? You can shop Stampin’ Up! online right now and place your order – the item number for the Everyday Enchanment DSP is 126154
The Petite Purse die will be available for purchase during the month of April as part of the Summer Smooches promotion and then it will come out in the new Idea Book & Catalog in June. You’re not going to want to miss this adorable die!
I am in the process of making more purses, stay tuned to see those, probably this weekend!
Thank you for stopping by today!
