Happy Valentines Day with a Twist

Happy Valentines Day with a Twist

Last evening I was given a little challenge. Challenges are fun!  Dawn came with a challenge from her work, she needed to make a valentine using wallpaper for a contest.  We actually made three different valentines but this one was my favorite.  We used the Take it Heart and Loving Thoughts stamp sets along with Very Vanilla cardstock, Always Artichoke cardstock, Twitterpated buttons, the Finial Press embossing folder and of course her wallpaper!

We decided having a decorative inside couldn’t hurt in the contest!  We used more of the wallpaper and then punched some little hearts for these flowers and stamped “happy valentines day” from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

I’m excited to see if Dawn will win – I think she should!  If only you could see the card in person – it looks so much better than these pictures I took really fast with my phone!

Don’t forget, if you would like to place a Stampin’ Up! order today, I will be donating 20% of the merchandise total to Shrewsbury Christian Academy for the purchase of a Big Shot and dies for the teachers to use.  This is the school my children attend and I know the teachers are excited to get this new tool!!  Orders can be placed online or you can contact me to place your order. You can view more details about the fundraiser here.

In the meantime, I’ll be creating Stampin’ Up! style love bugs and playing stamping bingo with the 2nd grade class today for their Valentines Day party!  We’re going to have a blast!

Happy Valentines Day!

  1. Very Elegant! I hardly ever get anything on this special day. I am by myself as usual. HAPPY Valentines Day to everyone from me.

  2. Beautiful Valentine – and the inside is lovely, too! I hope Dawn wins. 🙂

  3. I have used wallpaper as well as wrapping paper. Both work really well for cards. Have some white on white that I am going to try coloring with the brayer!! So how did you get the scallop edge???

  4. Beautiful! She should definately win!!
