Hello Baby Handmade Card

Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set

This is the other baby card design we made at the Brides & Babies card class on Monday evening.  In class each of the ladies made one of these cards in each of the following colors – Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue.  For the Certainly Celery card, which you see here, we used the Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon, but for the other two colors we used satin ribbon giving a slightly softer look to the card.

Stampin' Up! Texturz Plate

To create the swirly background for the card we ran a piece of Whisper White cardstock through the Big Shot with one of the Stampin’ Up! Exclusive Background Texturz Plates.  The button is one of our clear buttons and then it is tied onto the card with a piece of Whisper White Taffeta ribbon.

This is one of those very simple and yet elegant cards.  The button does make the card a little bulky but I figure you usually hand deliver most new baby cards.  You often take it to a baby shower or once the baby is born you want to hand deliver it so you can try for a chance at holding that new baby!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this card!

Due to the fact that I have company sleeping in the StampThat classroom, my husband is very graciously allowing us to meet in the offices of Sozo Firm Inc. for our Stampin’ Technique Club meeting tonight.  If you are a member of the club please be sure to note the change in location.  I look forward to our time of creating together tonight!
