Holiday Mini Catalog Goodies

Sweet Centers Handmade Holloween TreatsWe’re home from vacation and although it was fun to get away,  it’s good to be back too.  One of my neighbors very kindly delivered the Stampin’ Up! box that came while I was gone.  Finally, I get to try out new Holiday mini goodies!

I’m very excited about the new Sweet Centers stamp set!  I only had a couple minutes to sit down with the stamp set this afternoon but you can see the little Halloween treat I came up with.  sweet centers stamp setThere is actually a Halloween stamp in the set (as you can see in the second picture), however, I’m personally not into ghosts and goblins so I decided to go with the hot air balloon.  (Note: this is not full card size, it’s smaller.)

As I get more time you’re going to be seeing a lot more projects with this set.  I’m picturing my kindergartner’s holiday treats for his classmates – Halloween, Christmas, Valentines, Easter . . . .  I can use the same stamp set and cover all the holidays with a cute little treat for each classmate.

The circles stamped on the Only Orange sheet of cardstock are  stamped from the Delightful Decorations stamp set which is also a new stamp set that you’ll be seeing more of in the near future.

Where can you find these stamp sets?  They’re in the new Holiday Mini Catalog which came into effect this month through January 4, 2010.  In case you’re not picturing it, there is a flower (stamp the one petal multiple times and then stamp the leaves, a heart, a Halloween stamp, Christmas bulb and hot air balloon in this stamp set.  For all of these stamps you end up with a plastic cup (also available in the mini catalog) to fill with a variety of items such as candy or confetti.  Like I said, you’ll be seeing this stamp set more in the future and I’ll try to give you a better description of how to use the stamp set and little cups.

I hope you’ll end up liking this stamp set as much as I do!
