In need of congratulations cards

Botanical Blooms Congratulations CardI am in need of a couple congratulation cards right now so when I sat down to stamp today I thought it might be a good idea to use the Congrats set which is available for just one more day.

This card uses the Congrats stamp set as well as Botanical Blooms and Certainly Celery Twill ribbon, all of which are free during Sale-A-Bration (just through tomorrow!)  The colors used include Whisper White, Basic Black, Pale Plum, Perfect Plum and Certainly Celery.  There was a lot of cutting to this card but I think the final product was worth it.

Congrats cardHere’s a simple and fast Congratulations card.  I used Raspberry Tart DSP, Pretty in Pink cardstock, Whisper White narrow grosgrain ribbon, the Congrats stamp set, our new punch for the edge and Rose Red ink.  I had this as a make ‘n take at a party in Baltimore on Saturday and the ladies stamped with the Heard from the Heart stamp set.  That worked nicely as well.

quilt cardHere’s one other card I made today.  It’s not necessarily a Congratulations card but but it would work for a new little baby boy.  This is supposed to look like a quilt.  I used a texturz plate to dry emboss the bashful blue.  The little stitches are x’s that I drew on with a chocolate chip stampin’ write marker and then I stamped the butterfly from Flight of the Butterly with Chocolate Chip craft ink.  The quilted part of this card was inspired by another demonstrator and seemed like a great way to use up little scraps of the Delicate Dots DSP.

If you have not yet placed your Sale-A-Bration order or purchased a starter kit, don’t forget tomorrow is the last day of the sale!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the ideas today!  I’ve been enjoying the comments that have been coming through – thank you!

  1. I especially like the second card – something very, almost, Victorian about it. Very pretty! I wish I had half of your creativity!! :)

  2. Ooooohhh Becky! Love the first one! I need to find time to stamp again. I’m having trouble with that the past week.

  3. I just wanted to tell you I like your style with your cards. It’s different and I like to have tons of options! Thanks

  4. I attend Stampin Up events in Mid-Michigan and my mom and sister, in Baltimore, are interested in learning to make cards. Do you have card making events in Baltimore/Baltimore county? They have never made cards and would need a beginner type event to experience it and learn how to do it. I would appreciate any info you might have so i can pass it on to them.

  5. Debbie Perrini :

Both cards are so creative–I used the first
one to my nephew for his college acceptance
and the second for my friend’s(female)
new home purchase–which is a new Victorian
like the design of your card&so pretty!
    Thank you!
