Just a little more home decor

Handstamped framed artHave you ever noticed I seem to go in spurts with what I make?  Handstamped cards for a couple days and then Scrapbook page layouts and then handstamped 3-D projects . . . Sorry, I tend to only be able to work on one kind of project at a time.  And, since you’re seeing what I do on a daily basis, you get to go through the phases with me.  So, a little more framed art and then I promise I’ll have something else for tomorrow!

These are two more pieces of framed handstamped artwork that I’ll be taking to the market.  Kathy, the owner of the stand where I have my things is always telling me to do some work in purple.  I don’t know what it is but every time I sit down to come up with something purple for her I seem to have creative blockage!  I don’t know why, after all, I can make purple cards, but purple 3-D items . . . .  Oh well.  Yesterday I was able to come up with this and it turned out pretty well I think.  When my 5 year old saw it I got an excited “Pretty!”  (Now, was he really thinking it was pretty or just trying to get on my good side about the fact that he was out of bed?!?!)

The flowers and grass were stamped using the Inspired by Nature stamp set.  You will not find this stamp set in the current catalog, however, it is on our dormant list so it is available.  The item number for this stamp set is 111656.  I stamped the sun using two circle stamps out of the Pick a Petal stamp set and then the “Dd” is from the Defining Alphabet and the definition of “delight” is from the Define Your Life stamp set.  For the sky and background grass I used a aqua painter and classic ink just to paint on the tiniest bit of color.

Heartfelt Thanks framed artworkI have made several frames using the Heartfelt Thanks stamp set in the past but I seem to change the design a little each time.  I think this one is my favorite yet.  The colors include Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Brushed Gold and Very Vanilla.  Additional sets used were the En Francais background stamp and “cherish” from Warm Words (retired).  A little bit of Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware and some gold brads finished out the look.

I have just about depleated my supply of frames so I guess I’ll have to pick up some more of those soon.  I’m always on the lookout for nice frames with a nice price!

I hope you have enjoyed seeing these frames, tomorrow I’ll try to show you a card or two.  I have a party in Pasadena, MD tomorrow which I am greatly looking forward to!  This afternoon I’ll be working on the projects we’re going to do there.
