Ladybug Box Using the Top Note Die

Top Note LadybugHere’s another fairly quick and easy project we made at the Boxes & Bags class.  Isn’t this little ladybug cute?!  I first got the idea for this at an event I earned with one of my upline back in December.  Until now I haven’t had just the right class to have everyone make her.

The little girl is made using the Stampin’ Up! exclusive top note die, various sizes of circle punches, and the Heart to Heart Punch Stampin' Up! Heart to Heart Punchtools.  I’m not sure if I ever would have thought to use the Heart to Heart punch to create the spots but I think it’s just adorable!

For the class we made the little lady in Basic Black and Real Red as in the first picture.  When I first made the project we actually used Chocolate Chip and the now retired Riding Hood Red.  You may have seen this picture before on my blog but I’ll go ahead and show it to you again.  It’s always fun to see how you can change things up a little. In this case, I did not have any wire (we used to carry it but I never purchased any) so I decided to use Basic Black narrow grosgrain ribbon for the antenna.  It still worked!  Sometimes it’s just a matter of looking at what you have and finding a substitute.

Anyone up for another round of Boxes and Bags where we’ll make more fun boxes??
