Le Jardin Botanique
Are you all ready to see some stamping? Seems like it’s been a while since I posted something stamped. After pulling out all my retiring stamp sets yesterday I sat down with the purpose of using some of them along with retiring cardstock and accessories. For this card I used the Le Jardin Botanique stamp set.
Whisper White, Mellow Moss & Always Artichoke
To make this card I grabbed up Mellow Moss cardstock, ink and Taffeta Ribbon, all of which are retiring. This is one color I’m going to greatly miss, it goes so well with Always Artichoke. If you notice the white cardstock behind the ribbon, that is watercolor paper. I used a fun technique to make my own background. The Technique Club will be learning it this month.
The brad you see is one of the Antique Brass Build-A-Brads. These are also retiring. I used the 1/2″ circle punch to punch out some leaves I stamped and then built my brad with those. The brad is holding Mellow Moss taffeta ribbon in place on the card.
This card is a little different but I hope you like it. It was fun to make and uses 4 stamps all from the same stamp set.

This is a beautiful creation, Becky! I love the color combinations and the quote is lovely. I can’t wait to learn the background technique! I will definately be looking at the soon-to-be retired items now that I see how you put them together on this card. Thanks for the inspiration!
