Love Bug Valentine Treat

by Becky Jensen on January 20, 2010

One of my upline, Jan, shared a cute bug she made and I decided to give it a try.  These are so cute and easy to make!  They would make a great valentine for children to give to their classmates!

As you can see, the bugs body is made with a valentine pencil and a strip of our Sending Love Designer Paper.  The Heart to Heart Punch and 1 3/8″ circle punch made the head and a little grosgrain ribbon for the antennae.  So easy!

Adorable – makes me wish I were still teaching school or Sunday school so I would have a reason to make a bunch of them!

I can think of some Sunday School teachers who would probably be thrilled to death if you’d make them for them to give out! :)

What size hole punch did you use? Mine isn’t big enough for a pencil!

I used the large hole on the Crop-A-Dile. I punched it once and the moved it over slightly and punched again. It takes a little finagling but at least you know the pencil is going to stay where it’s put then. :) By the way, happy belated birthday Nancy!
