More Stampin' Up! Ribbon Weaving

Stampin' Up! Ribbon WreathHere’s another sample of ribbon weaving like I promised (the front view this time)!  I had a lot of fun making this wreath and it took very little time!  The wreath is somewhere between 7 and 8 inches in diameter.

I have a lot of Certainly Celery Twill ribbon left over from Sale-A-Bration last year so that’s what I used for the wreath and then decorated it with both wide and narrow Real Red grosgrain ribbon.   I think it looks a lot better in real life, the picture just doesn’t do it justice.

Once I had the weaving done I had to come up with a way to keep the circular shape of the wreath when it’s hung up.  I decided to use the Circle Scissor Plus and cut a circle out of a thick piece of cardstock (it’s that extra sturdy piece that comes in the packs of DSP to help them remain flat).  Some Sticky Strip did the trick to hold the wreath and circle together.

This wreath would look cute hanging on a nicely varnished door inside the house or even as a centerpiece on the table with a pretty candle in the middle.  I haven’t decided where I’m going to put mine yet.  Guess you’ll just have to come to my Stampin’ Christmas party on Thursday, December 17 to see where it is!

Speaking of the Christmas party, I hope you are planning to attend!  It will be here at my house this year from 6:30-8:00 PM on the 17th.  I will have a special project for you to make, we’ll eat yummy Christmas cookies and enjoy a fun game or two.  The best part of the whole event, it’s free!   Just bring some cookies and plan to have a good time!  I want to treat you all a little this holiday season as a big thank you for all of your business!  Although an RSVP is not mandatory to attend, it surely would be helpful as I make plans and preparations.  See you at the party!
