New Baby "Quilted" Scrapbook Page

Quilted scrapbook pageThe handmade quilt card I made yesterday inspired me to make this scrapbook page for my third son.  Boy, this took a lot of work!  See all those little squares of designer paper?  They are individual square of paper that had to be adhered down and then I drew stitching marks around each square and also around each of the larger “quilt” pieces.  Thankfully I had the 1 1/4″ square punch, curly label punch and Big Shot to help me with the cutting for this project!

The Bashful Blue cardstock is the negative image from cutting out the Top Note Die on the Big Shot and it is all dry embossed with the Big Shot and Texturz plates to give it a little dimension and a more quilted look.  I thought the little bows would also add to the quilt look and keep it a little more babyish.  The Curly Label Punches have information about his birth written on them (wish I had better handwriting!!!) in Chocolate Chip.

For those in my Scrap Clubs, no, we will not be doing this page in club.  As much as I like it and am glad I made it, we’d never get all of our pages done if I throw in this design!  If you would like more information on how to make the page on your own, feel free to ask and I’ll help as much as I can.
