New Because I Care Stamp Set

Because I Care stamp set

I had time to sit down and stamp purely for the fun of it this afternoon.  I didn’t have any deadlines or projects that had to be made, I just wanted to stamp and create with the new Because I Care stamp set.  This stamp set is a level 1 hostess set in the new catalog and it’s a beautiful set!

Finial Press Embossing Folder

I used Lavender Lace on this card which is one of our retiring colors.  Once again I used a Stampin’ Write Marker to color Taffeta Ribbon to match my project.  Don’t you just love how you can change ribbon on the spot to make it any color needed?!

It’s pretty much impossible to take a picture of the card in a way to let you see the Smooch Spritz I sprayed on it.  I really wish you could see it!  The spritz adds the most elegant finish to the card!

Handstamped thank you

I have to draw a little attention to the sentiment.  Can you see in the picture that I stamped the sentiment twice?  I stamped it once with Lavender Lace and a second time with Basic Black.  I was so proud of myself for getting the letters lined up for the shadow effect, all on the very first try!  No, I didn’t use the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, I just eye-balled it.

Side view

I want to show you one more view of the card.  I actually stamped the flower four times and then cut out different layers for this flower building it up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I wanted to give some dimension to the hydrangea to make it pop off the card.

So what do you think?  I only used two of the five stamps in this set but I’m sure you can tell it’s a beautiful set to have!  Have I convinced you to book a party so you can get this stamp set for free???

I love the shadow effect, although I’m guessing I’d have to try it a few times!! :) The 3-D effect of the hydrangea is terrific! And of course, you know I love the texture the Big Shot lends!

This is beautiful, Becky! I love the 3D effect! Great job with stamping the thank you sentiment! Did you use the clear mount?

This card literally took my breath away…it’s is fabulous! Thank you for sharing your talent and creativity! I have done one is lighter colors and cut out the single petal and layered it for a nice affect but this is above and beyond….I love it!

One of the most beautiful works you have done with this stamp set. A BIG THANK YOU for using retired markers. I feel like I have committed a huge “OH NO! NO! NO! NO! when I use and post work using retired accessories or stamps.
