Did you enjoy the sneak peek of new catalog goodies yesterday? How about a little more today? I had so much fun creating for Technique Club as I pulled out new goodies that will be coming out in the new catalog next month.Continue reading
Teacher Appreciation Treat Boxes
I spent way more time than planned in my kitchen yesterday but I’m pleased with the results of my labor. Don’t these look good? I need to get them out of my house quickly, they’re some of my favorite cookies and I’ve been doing way to much taste testing!
If you look closely at the packaging, you may notice some “old” things and you may notice some “new” too. Do you see anything new? How about the stamp from the new Label Love stamp set which is coming out the new catalog! Some of the Baker’s Twine I used along with the little clothespins are coming in a special packaging bundle too. Anything else new?
The boxes themselves! These fun boxes with acetate sleeves are coming out in the new catalog. They’re so fun to use and I’m already dreaming up lots of goodies to put in them! The boxes are craft colored, you’ll notice that I dressed them up a smidgen with some of that SAB DSP I have so much of.
I hope you have enjoyed this little sneak peek into the new catalog and hopefully the teachers will enjoy their special little treat too. I’ll see some of you at Tech Club this evening!
A Work in Progress – Handmade Banner
I thought you might like to see a little peek at the project I’m currently working on. I will be directing a summer camp at Shrewsbury Christian Academy in the mornings this summer and I’ll be in charge of crafts for VBS at church so I thought it would be fun to make a fun banner I can use at either one or both. I have a bunch of the Sale-A-Bration DSP and card stock is no problem around here . . .
It’s a work in progress but I’ll share another picture when it’s done. I can’t go wrong with all those colors, right?
I have some baking to do today for Teacher Appreciation Week. I can’t wait to show you the fun packaging I plan to use for the goodies . . . it’s new!
Have a wonderful Wednesday. Thank you for stopping by!

Nature Walk & Swallowtail
I decided to combine the butterfly from the Nature Walk stamp set and the Swallowtail butterfly on this card which was inspired by another. It’s a bit of a different look, bringing out the butterflies!

So what do you think? Do you like it? I think it would be great for a person who loves butterflies or bugs in general!
Thank you for stopping by today! I look forward to the By the Tide Stamp of the Month class tomorrow!
Handmade Mother’s Day Card 2013
Do you realized next Sunday is Mother’s Day? I thought perhaps I should share an idea for a Mother’s Day card with you in case you still need to make one for your Mom! I did use a little retired product on here from the Pretties Kit (the hat pin with beads and pearls) so unfortunately that is no longer available but everything else is current.
It’s definitely a girly card for a girly occasion! Soft and delicate and lovely.
Thank you for stopping by to visit today! I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
May 2013 · Best of 25 Stamp Set
It’s time for the May Best of 25 stamp set! This time the images are focusing on Brides and Babies! I know some of you will also be excited to see a “Happy Anniversary” stamp in there too! Several of you have mentioned the need for an anniversary stamp.
This set has a huge favorite, the bride and groom! I have the original stamp set which has this image and it’s a well sought after stamp set called To Have and To Hold. In the original, the bride and groom and the two lines of text are all separate images. If you wanted that, it looks like there is enough room to carefully trim the words off.
This stamp set is available in clear-mount, item number 133482 for $14.95. Don’t forget, if you are investing in multiple Best of 25 images, you can print the Best of 25 Collector’s Card and earn a free stamp set or two!
Stepping It Up with Artisan Embellishments
With the Spring Catalog quickly drawing to an end (the end of this month), I want to make sure I use the Artisan Embellishments Kit some more. I just love the look of all the pieces! They’re so very pretty and they work so well together for a look that fits me perfectly!

This is a card we are making in the Step It Up class right now. I pulled out the Quin-Essential Flower stamp which is retiring as well as a stamp from the Feels Good stamp set which is in the Spring Catalog. Of course, seeing as it’s a Step It Up card, we have to use a Technique which we have learned in Technique Club too!
We have two classes left, I hope you will plan to join us!

Step It Up Class Project

The Step It Up class is always a hit and it’s currently under way! I thought you might like to see one of the projects we are making this time.

This is my version of another card I saw. It was so beautiful and needed to be made! In fact, the card I saw was one of the reasons I even bought the Swallowtail stamp set!

Here is another version using some slightly darker colors. I love both versions! So pretty and elegant and colorful!
There is still time to join the Step It Up class. Check the details below and make your plans to be there!

Elegant Butterfly in Retiring Colors
Here’s a simple and easy card for you today! I used three retiring colors – Regal Rose, Certainly Celery and Baja Breeze with our Elegant Butterfly punch, the Scoring Tool (Sorry, you can’t see the four score lines in the picture), rhinestones and the “hey there friend” stamp from My Paper Pumpkin. This is a great way to use up scraps!
Thank you to my wonderful husband and Sozo Firm for the new look for the blog! We’re still working on it but I’m excited to get this far! What do you think? Do you like it? I hope so!
