Pencil Cases for Children

Crystal Light Container to Pencil Case

I have several Crystal Light containers just sitting around waiting to be turned into something special.  I had an idea yesterday.  My husband and I are going to be the AWANA Commanders at our church beginning this fall.  In our AWANA we have a store to motivate the kids to learn their verses.  I thought I’d try these special Pencil Cases in the store and see if the kids like them.

Motorcycle stamp set

I used our Motorcycle stamp to decorate this container for some little guy.  I used Stampin’ Write Markers in Pear Pizzazz, Poppy Parade, Concord Grape and Peach Parfait to color in the motorcycles.  These are In-colors and seemed like the “in” sort of thing to do.

Flower Fancy stamp set

The motorcycles took me a while to stamp and color so when I got to the second container I was looking for something fast and easy.  The Flower Fancy stamp set fits the bill wonderfully with it’s two step stamping.  This one didn’t take any time at all to stamp and put together.

So, what do you think?  Will they interest any of the kids?  We’ll see!

I think that’s a great idea and I hope the kids will think so, too! Love the motorcycle one!!! I’ve been saving my containers (I only have 2) and plan to use them for marker storage units somehow. I want to use them on their sides so the markers are stored horizontal yet I can still access them easily.

I love that idea, and I think the kid will too.

Wonderful idea. Recycling is the way to go, and you’ve created something beautiful and useful.

I give my customers one of these empty containers to decorate and put pencil, pen, marker, ruler, scissors, snail, stylus, bone folder in for classes and they are portable. Love your ideas… Nancy
