Today’s card is one I have taught at a couple different card classes. It has been very well liked! The picture isn’t as pretty as the card is in real life. I just can’t catch the glint of the Dazzling Diamonds sprinkled on the card.
To make the card, I used the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings embosslit Die, Flight of the Butterfly stamp set, Rich Razzleberry ribbon and Rhinestone Brads. The “bow” I made is simply two pieces of ribbon with the prongs of a Rhinestone Brad pulled apart and wrapped around the ribbon.
The butterflies are cut out of the Cottage Walls DSP with the Beautiful Wings embosslit Die. On the large butterfly I used a 2-way Glue Pen to trace the dry embossing and then poured on some Dazzling Diamonds. I used the glue pen to put a small dot in the middle of each flower and added Dazzling Diamonds there as well.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this card! Did you know I travel with my classes? Lately I’ve had several classes where I go to the hostesses house (or workplace or church or wherever) and she and her friends get to make multiple cards and place orders. Many have found it to be a fun night out to make 6 cards each (2 cards each of 3 designs) for the price of $8.00 and then the hostess gets to reap the hostess benefits from the orders placed!

Very elegant!! Dry embossing was my first love slyly replaced by stamping…but I think it is the most elegant. Beautiful card!
Becky, this is really pretty. And, since I just received my b-fly embosslit and my rzlbry cs, I can try to make one like it! (I don’t have the right touch with the brad-around-the-ribbon technique, though.)
This is so beautiful! Love it!
BEAUTIFULL!!!!
I love your site. Thanks a lot for sharing your ideas with us. This card is indeed very pretty & elegant
