I had a lot of fun stamping with my son’s kindergarten class this morning! We made these lovely picture frames and they brought a picture from home to put in them. Didn’t they do a lovely job? They all seemed to have a great time! we used stamps from the Lovely as a Tree, Seasonal Icons (retired), God’s Beauty (retired) and Le Jardin Botanique stamp sets along with the colors of Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, More Mustard and Old Olive.
To make life a little easier (and to save the ink pads!) I worked with 3 smaller groups. Here is a picture of one of the groups when they completed their frames. All of the children seemed very excited about their frames! It was funny to see how many of the kids commented about getting ink on their fingers, I didn’t think that many would care. The only part that really made me cringe was when I saw one of the girls wiping the ink off her finger onto the wood of my stamp . . . tissues are good things!
Here is my son’s frame. He did such a nice job, I just had to share it! It’s the priviledge of a mommy!

WOW, what a great job they did. For 5 year olds, they look better than what I can do, lol. They did an awesome job! They look great. I am sure they are proud, & mommy & daddy are too.!!
Great idea! You are brave to shre your stamps 7 Ink with Kindergarteners. I use to stamp with my kids when they were smaller at school too!! Tell your son he did a great job!!

What are the frames made of, and where did you find them? What a great project for kids, and adults as well. I would like to do some stamping with kids as well, and might want to try this.

I bought simple wooden frames from a local craft store for just a dollar. Before going to stamp with the kids I used Mod Podge to adhere cardstock to the front of the frame and then cut and sanded it around the edges. Its take a little prep time but it’s not too bad.
