Scrapbook pages using new Stampin' Up! product

heart to heart scrapbook pageI have had so much fun using some of my new Sizzex dies along with my Big Shot (all of which are sold by Stampin’ Up!  Having 3 boys I don’t get to use the color pink or ribbons nearly as much as I would like, however, I thought for a “Valentines” type page perhaps I could get away with it this once.

Tulipe die cut with a twistPink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red go together very nicely for Valentines.  For the base of these pages I used textured cardstock for a little variety.  The Big Shot dies I used include Stampin’ Up!s exclusive Tulipe and SU! exclusive Join in the Cheer as well as Swirly and the Go Go Boots Alphabet.  The hearts were punched using our new Heart to Heart punch which punches three different hearts at once.  The hearts were punched out of the new Candy Lane Designer Series Paper and adhered with our 2-way Glue Stick.  You can’t tell by the picture, but a couple of the pictures are popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals in an effort to keep it from appearing too flat and to give the look of some of those neat collage frames you can buy these days.

Tuipe die cut with a heart twistIn order to make the Tulipe die look a little more valentine like, I did change it up a little.  I replaced some of the pieces with hearts that I punched with the Heart to Heart punch.  I am including a picture of just that part of the page so you can get a better look at it.  I thought that look was pretty neat, however, decided it still needed a little more.  That’s when I decided to add some Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware and Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon as you can see in the last picture.

I look forward to making this same page with my Scrapbook Club members next week.  This is a very versatile page and could be used for many different kinds of pictures.  Sometimes when I make scrapbook layouts I find I have a picture or two left over that just won’t fit on the page.  This is a great layout for those leftover pictures that you want to showcase but don’t make it onto the “main” pages.
