Simple Flower Fancy Card

Simple handmade cards

You’re never going to believe this.  After all my complaining about the colors for the 10 minute challenge, I’m actually using one of colors again, Cameo Coral (this color is about to retire).  I had the idea for this card in my my head and since I had a whole unopened pack of Cameo Coral I figured it would work just fine for my idea.  In reality, just about any color would work for this card.

Flower Fancy & Fresh Cuts stamp sets

These cards are so simple and yet so neat.  It’s not often that I can come up with single layer handmade cards but sometimes their simplicity adds a certain elegance to them.  The flower I used is from the Flower Fancy stamp set and “for you” is from Fresh Cuts.  These cards would be very easy to duplicate and would make a lovely gift if you were trying to make a box of cards to give a friend.

The ladies in my card class on Monday night in Holtwood, PA will be making this card as one of their three designs.  I hope they will like it as much as I do!

Thank you for stopping by to visit.  Be sure to check back often!

I love this card. Did you freehand the lines? Your blog is soooo awesome. Thank you for sharing. kt

I’ve had a couple questions about the lines on my card. To make them I simply cut a scrap piece of carstock the size I wanted the rectangle to be and then traced around the outer edges with our wonderful white gel pen! If you prefer, you could trace around the cardstock with the versamark pen as well and then emboss with white embossing powder as I did the flowers and words. The only thing with the versamark pen is that it gives a much thicker line, I personally wanted a skinny line.

I hope that helps! If you have further questions don’t hesitate to ask!
