This week’s challenge is based around this sketch. To be totally truthful, I just couldn’t picture a card to go with this. I guess I’m not very good at sketch challenges. I decided if I was going to make something with pieces in this layout it was going to have to be a scrapbook page. Doing a scrapbook page means I get 10 extra minutes too! I have 20 minutes to get a page together.
It’s time to get this scrapbook page going!
I began with a 12″x12″ piece of Garden Green cardstock. Across the bottom I stamped the grass from Inspired by Nature. Next I ran to the Big Shot and cut a Night of Navy Scallop Circle.
I grabbed the Circle Scissor Plus and one of the pictures I wanted to cut in a circle 3 3/4″ in diameter. The Circle Scissor Plus is the most wonderful tool for cutting circles at a specific size!!
I decided to frame the scrapbook page in one of my favorite styles. I cut eight strips of Night of Navy cardstock that were 1/4″ x 12″ in size. I wove the pieces at the corners which was probably the most time consuming part of the page, but not too bad.
Running to the Big shot again I grabbed up the Build a Bear die and Accessories die so I could build this little guy. My son participated in a Race for Education at his school this spring where people pledged money for each 200 yard lap he was able to run in an hour. He ran 26 laps and I wanted to record it!
Whew! I did it, just less than 20 minutes. To be quite truthful, I’m not sure if I’ve ever done a scrapbook page this fast before! I enjoy scrapbooking but it doesn’t necessarily come quickly to me.
Here is the finished page. It’s not overly magnificent and I need to add a second page but yeah, I’ve got a start! Once I have the second page done for this layout I’ll show it to you – it’ll probably be a Scrap Club layout for June.
Thank you for stopping by to visit!

Oh Becky, This is so CUTEEE!! You did a great job.
Great job. I am always amazed you can beat the time limit! I like the layout with the grass stamp and the Night of Navy strip frame.
Love it. I am getting back into scrapbooking since the birth of my 6th grandbaby and this is definitely a keeper. Can’t wait to see the 2nd page. TFS Nancy
Becky, you were brave to do a scrapbook page. lol. It is great to see how everyone interprets the challenge differently. You did a nice job on this page. I’d like to see your page 2. Have a great weekend.

Becky, this is a neat page. I especially like the bear pointing to the picture, and the woven-strip corners. (What do your boys think about all the pages you make about them?)
You are amazing, I love it!!! I agree with Nancy, the bear pointing to the picture really caught my eye and made me smile. Very cute!
